How to place a child's seat in a motorhome?

Traveling is an unforgettable experience and even more so if you do it in the company of your family. But, in this case, it is important to guarantee the safety of the little ones and bring all the necessary tools so that they arrive safely. That is why today we will teach you how to place the child seat in a motorhome and what its regulations are.

Regulations when traveling with children

It is very important that you know what the security measures are when traveling with the little ones in the house. The rules will depend on the age and size of the child you plan to travel with.

Those children who have not yet reached 12 years and are smaller than 135cm can follow the same regulations as for those in conventional vehicles. That is, they must be seated in the back seats, using a chair that corresponds to their weight and age.

Children who are over 12 years old and taller than 135cm can sit whatever and wherever. Since the same regulations apply as for adults.

Remember that at comercialcaraving.com we are here to help you, so if you have any questions, even a small one, do not hesitate to ask us, as we are there to help make your trip unique and unforgettable.

Regarding the child seat

All the seats that are used for common cars can be used when traveling in a caravan. However, there are some differences between these two types of cars that you should take into consideration when choosing the correct seat.

Since November 2014, all tourism vehicles that have four or more seats must have included a isofix system. But this law does not apply to motorhomes and these do not include this system. Therefore, the chairs are fastened with the belt.

It is important that you know that, currently, some caravans have included the isofix system in their seats, this to ensure your little ones. If you feel safer, ask our offices for a caravan that has this type of security.

The seats in motorhomes are not ergonomic like those in cars and this affects the stability of the child seat. We recommend making sure to fasten it well with the belt to avoid an accident.

Some chairs are better than others, as there are some that fit perfectly with the seats in your caravan, giving your children safety and comfort. Ask in the market which type of chair is the most suitable for you.

At Comercialcaraving.com we care about the comfort of your children and even more, their safety, because we know that if they are happy, you will be too. We hope that this information will be of great help to you and now that you know how to place the child seat in a motorhome, start planning a trip in the company of all your loved ones.

Hello, my car has a three-point belt and a two-point belt… how do I put the baby seat in the two-point seat? (the one of three is already occupied by another chair)
Can you put one of three in the one of two?
.
Cheers

I suppose you have already solved it, the only one that I have found for 2 points has been the romer eclipse, we bought 2 and well it is a somewhat crappy chair, but there is no other option, it reclines, which is fine, and the Children do not complain of discomfort, but it is a plastic shell with a cover, nothing to do with the ones we have in the car that have protective foam everywhere between the shell and the cover ...

Hello! We have three children with age, hair and size who need to use CRS, from what we have seen there is no motorhome that allows us to travel with our children in chairs because even the 7-seater only have 2 seats behind with three-point belts, I find it surprising and outrageous. Isn't there a motorhome for large families with small children?

For a belt with 2 points we have found the romer eclipse, it is only group 1, our oldest is 4 years old and it is still worth it, but soon it will be small, we have not seen any more on the market for 2 points, so we bought these, I explain them a little better to a colleague in a top comment
